Self driving cars...There are lots around the airport and downtown.
Don't really have a good logical processing unit to figure out how to navigate any traffic issues not controlled by lights. Lane closures for example
Just a quick pic of a path we rode our bikes down yesterday (2/13/26)
February 14 (Valentines day)
Pickleball in the morning, carnival in the afternoon
Ken looking for the mini donuts, too bad they didn't have any.
Remember all these rides as kids?
The ZIPPER, this one was my favorite
And the day will end with a Valantine's Dinner
Didn't get any mini donuts so ready for a nice meal
My half eaten pomegranate Waldorf salad, very tasty
A little dancing in between courses. I guess these two teach dance classes
End of a nice Valantines Day
February 18th
Today we went to see an old nuclear missel launching site. Learned a bit about the cold war, and how these things work in terms of the process to maintain the sites, the process for the people that were responsible for launching and the process to launch if it was ever required and we thank god no one ever pushed that button or in this case turned the key.
Stage one engine below, got the missel the first 2.5 miles into the air
nuclear rocket looking from the top down into the space they were kept
Stage two engine which got the missel the next 200 miles
6000 lb doors, 2 of them to get into the control room, and that's after a series of 4 steps to get in from the outside
Hallway from the control room to the missel site.
February 20th - Went to the par 3 course and golfed with some friends we made Diane and Dan) and then sat on the patio listening to live music and eating pizza.
February 23rd.... yes more golf
- All these pictures are from golfing at Robson Ranch.
Literally an oasis in the middle of the desert. Mr. Robson bought this land, built a golf course, starting building and selling houses around it. Built really nice restaurant, sports facility, pools, etc. Lots of greenery and nice properties.
Nice warm evening, having some wings and salad outdoors
Starting clockwise beside me, Steve, Linda, Paul, Deb, Charlette, Bob
February 27th - Today we went with some different friends (Dave and Kathy) to a restaurant in Chandler called the Perch, and not because they serve fish but because they also are an exotic bird rescue facility.
February 24th - Got invited to go out for supper with a few of our fellow RVers, waiting for our table at a restaurant called The Hide Out
February 26th - I took what I thought was going to be a painting class and instead it was using alcohol on tile and then dropping a dab of ink and blowing it around, add more alcohol and another drop of ink and repeat. You have no control over what happens but some of them turn out OK.
Great ambiance and great food...
